Author Alerts

Keep up to date on new publications and citations to existing publications of researchers in the Web of Science.

The new Author Alerts allow you to create alerts on a researcher profile page, both for claimed and unclaimed author records. Alerts created for an unclaimed record will remain active after a profile has been claimed.

The ‘Create alert’ button will open a modal with two check boxes: one for each alert type.

Alerts can be set up for registered users only, as an email address is required for the alert notification delivery.

Alerts can be updated on the Saved Searches and Alerts pages, under the new "Author alerts" tab.

Within this subsection, alerts are split by their categories, and you will need to switch between the Publication alerts/Citation alerts tabs. The same settings options will be available to them as Journal & Citation alerts (not Search alerts). These are:

• change recipient email address

• add multiple recipients

• set alert to inactive/active

• delete alert
